During a trip to check out conditions on Northern NY rivers, i had the opportunity to land and release the fish pictured below.
All fish were taken on either a #8 Ausable Ugly or #6 Sirloin. The water temperature was 55F with great clarity and an excellent level, perhaps to excellent for mid May, water levels are low for this time of the season, making for great fishing now, but the watersheds need a good rain storm to help stabilize for the up coming 2 weeks.
