Late May Fishing Bonanza

Late May witnessed Northern ADK waters in prime conditions from small back country streams to large rivers, water and temperature levels allowed for excellent angling opportunities.

A brief 3 day spell of temperatures in the mid 80'sF brought the water temperatures into the mid 60'sF making for agressive feeding fish and increased aquatic insect activity,put these two elements together and you have great angling opportunities awaiting you.

One  angler caught and released 75 fish over a 3 day period, with others landing 20+ fish on their single day trip.

Many average sized fish were taken on dry flies while the larger fish were brought to net through nymphing.
