Late July Fishing
Mid July saw tremendous thunderstorms for a period of approximately 5 days, swelling the rivers well over the banks, making for unfisable conditions.
10 days later the rivers conditions were in prime shape with June like flows and water temperatures in the mid 60's. The patterns employed to land the pictured fish was a # 8 Beadhead Telico which represents a stonefly nymph and a #8 Ausable Ugly which is a general attractor pattern. These patterns were responsible for one client landing nearly 35 fish and an other party nearly 60 fish, this late July has been some of the finest angling I can recall for this time period of the season.
